STANWYCK BEFORE HOLLYWOOD: AN ILLUSTRATED TALK presented by author Victoria Wilson
7:35 ONLY
Monday, August 4
Back by popular demand! Using never- before-seen photographs from her personal collection (including rarer-than-rare nudes from the early 1920s), Stanwyck biographer Victoria Wilson will talk about how Brooklyn’s Ruby Stevens went from chorus girl to vaudeville and Broadway star before becoming one of Hollywood’s greatest icons. Presentation will precede the 7:35 screening of Double Indemnity.
Ms. Wilson’s best-selling book A Life of Barbara Stanwyck: Steel-True, 1907-1940 (Simon & Schuster) will be available for sale at our concession tonight, with book signing to follow screening.
