(1929, William A. Seiter) “Some of the girls are hot stuff. Don’t get mixed up with them.” Too late, Dad! Thought impossibly lost, quintessential Jazz Baby Colleen’s last silent was discovered in Italy and married to its original Vitaphone discs unearthed here – a wedding that began with a chance meeting at Film Forum over 20 years ago. DCP. Plus, Manhattan Serenade (1929): a just-restored (by Eastman House) MGM Technicolor short starring Nina Mae McKinney (Hallelujah).  35mm. Approx. 104 min.

Introduced by the Vitaphone Project’s Ron Hutchinson.

Special thanks to Ned Price (Warner Bros), Ron Hutchinson (The Vitaphone Project), Joseph Yranksi, James Layton, and Daniel Bish (George Eastman House).
