Brydie O’Connor is a filmmaker from Kansas living in New York. Her work has been presented at Sundance, Berlinale, Full Frame, Hot Docs, Le Centre Pompidou, BFI, and The Museum of Modern Art, among other festivals and galleries worldwide. Her debut feature documentary, BARBARA FOREVER (2026), was awarded the Jonathan Oppenheim Editing Award at the Sundance Film Festival, the TEDDY Award for Best Documentary at the Berlinale, and is an honoree at the Maysles Documentary Center Abie Awards. In 2026, Brydie received the Creative Capital State of the Art Prize for New York, the Tom Berman Award for Most Promising Filmmaker at the 64th Ann Arbor Film Festival, and a Special Mention for the John Schlesinger Documentary Award for a first-time filmmaker at the Provincetown International Film Festival. She also works professionally as an archivist on documentaries, art films, video essays, and installations.

Matt Hixon (he/him) is a New York-based editor. His recent work includes the Venice Golden Lion winner and Oscar®-nominated ALL THE BEAUTY AND THE BLOODSHED (2022), on which he was an associate editor, and GIRLS STATE (Emmy winning, Sundance 2024). He also edited Brydie O’Connor’s short Love, Barbara (2022), which premiered at Santa Barbara International Film Festival and won the Grand Jury prize at Outfest. He also works in narrative film and music videos.


DuPont and FIPRESCI Prize-winning director Kimberly Reed directed the award-winning I’M YOUR VENUS, a followup on Venus Xtravaganza from PARIS IS BURNING, which was recently released on Netflix. She directed/produced the Oscar®-shortlisted film Seat 31: Zooey Zephyr (The New Yorker), winner of Best Short Documentary at Palm Springs Shortfest and Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, among others. Kim also directed/produced DARK MONEY (PBS Distribution, Amazon Prime Video), an award-winning selection at Sundance that was promptly named one of Vogue’s 66 Best Documentaries of All Time, nominated for 4 Critics’ Choice Awards and the IDA Award for Best Documentary, won the duPont Columbia Prize, and was shortlisted for an Oscar®. Her first film PRODIGAL SONS (Sundance Channel, BBC) won 14 international awards, including the FIPRESCI Prize. Kim was named an American Film Showcase Expert, one of Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces of Independent Film” and to Out Magazine’s “Out 100.” Her films have premiered at Telluride, Sundance, BFI London and Tribeca, and have been released on HBO Max, Netflix, Amazon & PBS. Kim is a member of AMPAS, sits on the AMPAS Documentary Branch Executive Committee and Equity & Inclusion Committee, and is co-chair of the AMPAS LGBTQ+ Affinity Group.
