Since 2002, the New York Asian Film Festival has been an annual celebration of the best and boldest in Asian cinema. As the first film festival in North America to champion the works of today’s leading Asian filmmakers, NYAFF continues to introduce vibrant and vital voices ranging from explosive blockbusters to eccentric arthouse gems. As we celebrate Asian representation more than ever, NYAFF provides an essential connection and awareness to our community, to New Yorkers, and beyond.

Rob Domingo has been a staple of the New York Asian Film Festival for almost 15 years. As part of the Operations staff, he’s made sure the audience goers for NYAFF have the best film experience possible. As he has no background in the industry, he is just like the audience, a film lover. You may have seen him on NYAFF’s social media channels interviewing guests or literally throwing prizes into the audience. Recently, Rob has been a liaison between the Asian American community nurturing multiple AAPI actors connections in the industry. This has given him the timeless title of NYAFF “Mayor”. Rob wishes for the festival to live on well after his term ends.
