Rebecca Hall is an acclaimed British-American actress and filmmaker. She stars in the upcoming film ELLA McCAY (James L. Brooks) and recently wrapped Ryan Murphy’s FX series The Beauty. Hall made her directorial debut with the acclaimed film PASSING (2021 Sundance), earning BAFTA and Gotham nominations. Other notable film credits include CHRISTINE (which Film Forum opened in 2016), VICKY CHRISTINA BARCELONA, and THE TOWN. On television, she has appeared in Parade’s End, Tales from the Loop, and The Listeners, and on stage has received Ian Charleson Awards for Mrs. Warren’s Profession, As You Like It, and The Winter’s Tale.
Alison Willmore is a film critic at Vulture and New York Magazine. In past lives, she has been a culture writer at BuzzFeed News and the TV editor at IndieWire, and with Matt Singer hosted the Filmspotting: SVU podcast. She lives in Brooklyn with her dog, Sammo, who also has strong opinions about cinema, but prefers to keep them to himself.
