María Álvarez is an Argentine writer and director. She has directed LAS CINÉPHILAS (2017) and LAS CERCANAS (2021) in addition to LE TEMPS PERDU. The three films form a documentary trilogy that relates the passage of time and art. Her films have been screened at international festivals such as IDFA, Locarno Critic’s Week,Thessaloniki, Göteborg, DocAviv, Mar del Plata, Gijón, DocLisboa, BAFICI, Femcine, La Havana, Sydney, Cartagena, and Krakow, among many others, winning several awards.
