Dennis Doros co-founded Milestone Films with Amy Heller in 1990. He was President of the Association of Moving Image Archivists, and on the board of The Co-ordinating Council of Audiovisual Archives Associations and the National Film Preservation Board from 2017 to 2021. In 2022, Dennis and Amy co-founded Missing Movies with Rich Guay, Nancy Savoca, Susan Bodine, Ira Deutchman, and Mary Harron. Missing Movies is a nonprofit organization to help filmmakers clear their lost rights and find their original materials.

As co-founder of Milestone Films, Amy Heller has long worked to rediscover and restore films that challenge the canon. For the last few years, she has also helped lead Missing Movies’ efforts to empower filmmakers, distributors, archivists, and others to locate lost materials, clear rights, and advocate for policies and laws to make the full range of our cinema history available to all. Before beginning her film career forty years ago, Amy studied American history at NYU and Yale. She grew up in and lives in NJ.
