Moderated by Bruce Goldstein, Film Forum Repertory Artistic Director and curator of “Written and Directed by Preston Sturges,” our Houston Street theater’s opening repertory festival. 

Sturges’ SULLIVAN'S TRAVELS and THE MIRACLE OF MORGAN'S CREEK opened the festival on September 7, 1990. 

Following the event, Tom Sturges will sign copies of O Brother What Might Have Been (Sticking Place Books), a new collection of unproduced Preston Sturges screenplays, available today at our concession.

Tom Sturges is a music executive, author, mentor, educator, inventor, and public speaker. He served as president of Chrysalis Music, EVP and Head of Creative for Universal Music Publishing Group, and VP/GM of Shaquille O’Neal's TWIsM Records. ​A published author, Tom’s books include Parking Lot Rules & Other Ideas for Raising Amazing Children, Grow the Tree You Got, Every Idea Is A Good Idea, and Preston Sturges – The Last Years of Hollywood’s First Writer Director. His latest, A Good Divorce Begins Here, came out in June 2021.  Tom studied music composition and conducting at UC Davis, where he received his B.A., and continued his education at UCLA. He is the father of three sons.

Peter McCrea is Founder and Chairman of SDG Global Investments, LLC. He also serves as President of American Impact Capital, LLC, providing advisory services to philanthropists. Previously, he was Senior Vice President at American Endowment Foundation, Business Development Advisor at Foundation Source, and Chairman of the Livelihoods Council at Save the Children.
