Back from the Brink: Bringing Communities Together to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (BftB) is a U.S.-based grassroots coalition of individuals, organizations, and elected officials working together on a multi-year campaign to rid the world of nuclear weapons and secure a set of common sense U.S. nuclear weapons policies that will make the world safer, healthier, and more just.

Erick Fernandez is the Director of Outreach and Organizing for Back from the Brink by way of Color Of Change where he led campaigns focusing on issues of criminal and economic justice. Before joining advocacy space, he worked in journalism and digital media — that experience shaped his views on how effective messaging and narrative strategies can inspire people to take action and organize collectively for a shared goal. He is excited to collaborate and join forces with advocates across the country to fight for a safer world free from nuclear weapons.
