Luis Reyes is nationally renowned as a scholar, author, archivist, and lecturer who specializes in the film history of ethnic minorities in the Hollywood film industry. Reyes has worked as a unit publicist on ten films shot in Mexico, and is the author or co-author of several books on film, including Made in Paradise: Hollywood’s Films of Hawaii and the South Seas, Pearl Harbor in the Movies, and The Hawaii Movie and Television Book (all co-authored with Ed Rampell); he is also the co-author (with Peter Rubie) of Hispanics in Hollywood. Reyes holds a B.A. in Education and Inter-American studies from Elbert Covell College, University of the Pacific, Stockton, California.
