Please note: all Virtual Cinema rentals are provided by third party streaming services.You may be required to create and use a new account for each service. Your Film Forum login will not be recognized, and Film Forum membership discounts are not honored for Virtual Cinema rentals. Price, rental periods, and streaming capabilities vary per title. The first time you purchase a film from Film Forum At Home you will be asked to register. This will require your name, email, and a password and will be a separate login from any previous Film Forum logins.
Once you’re logged in to your account, choose a film from the menu on the right. You can watch the trailer by clicking play in the video box or click “Get @home tickets + donate” to rent. You can choose a showtime if you’d like to watch the movie at the selected time or On-demand if you’d like to watch the film immediately or any other time in the rental window (you can still change these options after you purchase).
Then you can choose to pay the price of the rental or add on a donation to Film Forum. After choosing, enter your credit card information and click “Pay”. Once your payment is processed you will be able to watch your film.
You will have to cast the film from your computer, phone or tablet to your Smart TV or connected device such as Apple TV, Roku or Chrome Cast. Please note: at this time using airplay between iPhone and a Roku device is not available. Since there are so many different combinations, if you need instructions for your specific setup we recommend consulting the user guide for your device or doing an internet search.
No, Film Forum only has US rights to stream content. We recommend you go through your local virtual cinema when the film becomes available near you.
You have 30 days to start the film once your payment is processed and 48-hours to finish watching once you’ve started playing.
If you choose a showtime with your rental, the feature will start playing at that exact time as long as you are logged in to the page. This gives you an opportunity to watch our films along with friends and other Film Forum patrons. If you’d rather watch at any other time chose “On-Demand.”
First log in to your Film Forum at Home account. After you’ve logged in, select “My Account” in the top navigation bar, and select “My Purchases.” You will be able to stream your active rentals from here.
Yes. Follow the instructions in the answer above to find your active rentals.
You can switch your rental to watch on-demand before the showtime. Just click “You have a ticket. Watch now!” under the video player. Note, once the film starts you will have 48-hrs to finish it.

Unfortunately, due to the special pricing of our online offerings, we cannot offer a member discount at this time.
We cannot honor gift certificates for Film Forum At Home rentals. You can still use your gift certificate to purchase our merchandise in our shop or at the theater as soon as we reopen.
