Introduced by Reverend Micah Bucey
Judson Memorial Church seeks to be a just, diverse, vibrant, and worshipping spiritual community through the collective pursuit of liberative social justice, uncensored creative expression, and ongoing sacred exploration of its own Protestant church roots and the wisdom of other traditions.
Middle Church is a multicultural, multiethnic, intergenerational movement of Spirit and justice, powered by fierce, revolutionary Love, with room for all. Following in the Way of Jesus’ radical love, and inspired by the prophets, Middle Church is called by God to do a bold new thing on the earth. We aim to heal souls and the world by dismantling racist, classist, sexist, ethnocentrist, ableist, cisheterosexist and other systems of oppression.
Micah Bucey is a passionately progressive faith leader, a flaming fairy, and an enthusiastic fan who writes, speaks, and extravagantly celebrates the intersections between expansive spirituality, radical social justice, and unfettered creativity. They currently serve as Senior Minister at Judson Memorial Church in Greenwich Village, are a regular film recommender for Spirituality & Practice, and their latest collection, The Book of Tiny Prayer, is available from Fordham University Press.
