“Laurel and Hardy play two sets of separated twins: a couple of sailors on leave with a diamond ring in hand and two henpecked husbands. Of course, mixups ensue. The wives (Daphne Pollard and Betty Healy) think their husbands are cheating on them when they see the sailors with some girls they’ve just met. The diamond ring disappears, and gangsters enter the picture demanding its return. There’s more plot than usual in this Laurel and Hardy comedy, but then, there are two Laurel and Hardys. It’s fun to see Stan and Ollie in a different guise than usual, though ultimately Alf and Bert are not much smarter than the fellows we already know and love.” – Leonard Maltin
