(1957, Richard Thorpe) A barroom brawl and a manslaughter verdict land Elvis’ Vince Everett in the jailhouse, where ex-singer cellmate Mickey Shaughnessy grooms him for musical stardom. After his release, Vince meets music promoter Judy Tyler, with whom he forms a record company, and records a song that becomes an overnight sensation.
