Bronx-born photographer and film director Jerry Schatzberg captured portraits of 1960s icons, including Bob Dylan (he photographed his famous Blonde on Blonde album cover), Andy Warhol, Fidel Castro, and Catherine Deneuve, as well as being one of the era’s most in-demand fashion photographers. Mr. Schatzberg directed his first feature film in 1971, PUZZLE OF A DOWNFALL CHILD, starring Faye Dunaway, followed by THE PANIC IN NEEDLE PARK, SCARECROW, and HONEYSUCKLE ROSE, among others.
