KILL THE JOCKEY
MUST END THURSDAY, AUGUST 14
DIRECTED BY LUIS ORTEGA
Pathos, romance, and surrealism meld stylishly in this tragicomedy about a sad-eyed, drunkard jockey named Remo whose gangster patrons and identity crisis drive him to near self-destruction. Instead, Remo is reborn and revitalized, mysteriously, as mink-wearing, handbag-toting Dolores. A gorgeous retro aesthetic, jaunty Latin pop and disco soundtrack, and an unforgettable performance by Nahuel Pérez Biscayart (BPM [BEATS PER MINUTE]) as Remo/Dolores animate this whimsical and deeply affecting picaresque.
