Starring POWERS BOOTHE, MEG FOSTER, and CHARLEY BOORMAN

(1985) American engineer Boothe brings his family to the edge of the Brazilian rainforest when his 7-year-old son, Tommy, is abducted by an indigenous Amazonian tribe. Ten years later, after a fruitless search, Boothe encounters his son again - but now his name is Tomme (played by Charley Boorman, the director's son), he speaks a native language and he moves deftly through the thick, exquisitely colorful jungle as a member of the Invisible People tribe. Approx. 113 mins. 35mm.

Reviews

“John Boorman has made an intelligent film of surpassing beauty. (A) sensuous and magical portrait of primitive tribal life, it may just be a classic.”
