Reviews
“An evocation of repressed memories of happiness imbued with sadness… Director Pai Ching-jui, the first person from Taiwan to study film In Italy, wrote a new chapter in Taiwan cinema, paving the way for the new wave directors of the 80s.”
— Wayne Wang
“Remarkable for its evocation of beauty, sadness and pain in a realistic depiction of the seedy nightclub world.”
