Festival commemorating Buster Keaton’s filmmaking debut over 100 years ago, including his greatest silent features and many of the wildly inventive shorts that catapulted him into the cinema pantheon as both screen star and one of the greatest filmmakers of all time. Featuring new restorations from Lobster Films, Paris, along with archival 35mm prints.
“Buster’s Century” coincides with the publication of Buster Keaton: A Filmmaker’s Life (Knopf), a definitive new biography by author James Curtis, who will introduce screenings on March 5, 6 and 7.
