Robert Aldrich’s WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE? (1962), starring Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, will have a special screening at Film Forum on Wednesday, May 10 at 2:15 and 7:00pm, as a tribute to Crawford on the 40th anniversary of her death. Joan’s grandson Casey LaLonde will introduce both screenings, and John Epperson will present a tribute to Joan after the 7:00pm show.
LaLonde will present excerpts from Crawford’s 1962 memoir A Portrait of Joan and her 1971 advice book My Way of Life (available in a brand new edition at our concession), and legend-in-his-own right drag artist, musician, writer, and actor (recently in Wallace Shawn’s An Evening at the Talk House) John “Lypsinka” Epperson will offer his own tribute after the 7:00pm show.
