Introduced by PSNY Chief Operating Officer Jackie Braje

The Poetry Society of New York is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization rooted in the belief that art and poetry belong to us all. At PSNY, we present poetry unconventionally, transcending the every day and prioritizing accessibility, experimentation, and undeniable fun. Each of our events—including the NYC Poetry Festival, The Poetry Brothel, The Salon Series, Poetry Camp, Wine Poetic, and so much more—offers an invitation into a vibrant poetry world.

Jackie Braje is a poet and the Chief Operating Officer of The Poetry Society of New York. With Stephanie Berger, she co-founded and serves as the Editorial Director of Milk Press and served as a poetry editor for The Brooklyn Review. She also serves as the Managing Director of the annual New York City Poetry Festival. Her work has been published by The Adirondack Center for Writing, The Los Angeles Press, Ugly Duckling’s Second Factory, Ninth Letter, the minnesota review, Statorec, The Quarterless Review, The Westchester Review, and elsewhere. She received her MFA in poetry from Brooklyn College where she currently teaches poetry. She is also a teacher at Poets House.
