Following the screening of ED WOOD, co-screenwriter Larry Karaszewski (pictured foreground above, with writing partner Scott Alexander) will appear in person for a conversation with Bruce Goldstein, Film Forum Repertory Artistic Director, and an audience Q&A.

Larry Karaszewski and his writing partner Scott Alexander are best known for writing unusual true stories. Alexander and Karaszewski created the hit television miniseries The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, for which they won Golden Globe, Emmy, Producers Guild of America, and Writers Guild of America awards. They also won a Golden Globe and WGA Award for writing Miloš Forman's THE PEOPLE VS. LARRY FLYNT.  They worked with Mr. Forman again on the Andy Kaufman biopic MAN ON THE MOON, starring Jim Carrey. Their other screenwriting credits include Tim Burton's Oscar-winning ED WOOD (WGA nomination), Burton’s BIG EYES (Independent Spirit nomination), and DOLEMITE IS MY NAME, starring Eddie Murphy as 70s Blaxploitation icon Rudy Ray Moore. The team has been inducted into the Final Draft Screenwriting Hall of Fame. Larry currently serves as vice-president of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.
