Don Perry, writer and producer of Through a Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People, will introduce D.W. Griffith’s The Birth of a Nation on Monday, March 2 at 7:40. Mr. Perry and director Thomas Allen Harris are currently at work on a project exploring African American images in popular culture, particularly movies.
