You Must Remember This is a podcast dedicated to exploring the secret and/or forgotten histories of Hollywood’s first century. Created, written, hosted and produced by Karina Longworth, YMRT has released more than 15 seasons in nine years, spanning the birth of the film industry to the 1990s, covering subjects ranging from the Hollywood Blacklist to the Black musical Disney has tried to bury, the birth of Hollywood gossip to the 1970s Hollywood New Wave; stars and historical figures from Joan Crawford to Jane Fonda, Marilyn Monroe to Charles Manson. The most recent seasons, Erotic 80s and Erotic 90s, explore late 20th-century Hollywood through its approach to depicting sex on screen. Part 4 of Erotic 90s is devoted to THELMA AND LOUISE. Karina Longworth is the creator, writer and host of You Must Remember This, the podcast dedicated to the secret and/or forgotten histories of Hollywood’s first century. A former film critic for the Village Voice, she is also the author of five books, including Seduction: Sex, Lies and Stardom in Howard Hughes’s Hollywood. She was born and raised, and currently lives, in Los Angeles.
