Twenty years before his studio was merged by others into 20th Century-Fox, the now-forgotten William Fox (1879-1952) was one of Hollywood’s greatest pioneers and moguls. Vanda Krefft, author of the epic new book The Man Who Made the Movies: The Meteoric Rise and Tragic Fall of William Fox, introduces F.W. Murnau’s City Girl, followed be a book signing in the lobby after the screening.
