Legendary film detective/archivist Jeff Joseph, co-author with Dennis 
Bartok of the new book A Thousand Cuts: The Bizarre Underground
 World of Collectors and Dealers Who Saved the Movies (University Press
of Mississippi) presents this unique compilation of movie odds and 
ends — out-takes, newsreels, costume tests, TV commercials, etc. — 
including rare footage of Alfred Hitchcock, Greta Garbo, Bogart and Bacall, Ann Miller, Al Jolson, Lena Horne, Nichols & May, Jerry Lewis, Fred Astaire, Judy Garland, Bela Lugosi, Audrey Hepburn, and many others. Following the screening, Mr. Joseph will sign copies of his book (available at our concession) in the Film Forum lobby. 

Jeff Joseph is a motion picture archivist and former film dealer. Mr. Joseph was co-owner of SabuCat Productions with his wife Lauren, and has worked with the UCLA Film and Television Archive on restoring the Hal Roach/Laurel and Hardy Library.
