(1944, William Cameron Menzies) German expatriates/San Francisco art dealers Paul Lukas and Morris Carnovsky keep up a regular correspondence after the gentile Lukas decides to return to the Heimat for business purposes – but is Lukas really getting in bed with the Nazis?
