(1943, Sam Wood) “…It tolls for thee.” During the Spanish Civil War, Gary Cooper’s Robert Jordan teams with Republican guerillas Akim Tamiroff (“I don’t provoke.”) and Oscar-winning Katina Paxinou to blow up that bridge – but also meets Ingrid Bergman.
