Written and directed by Preston Sturges
U.S., 1942
Starring Claudette Colbert, Joel McCrea, Mary Astor, Rudy Vallée
Approx. 88 min. 35mm.

Under the credits, a maid faints thrice, one Claudette Colbert kicks her way out of a closet, while a second, in a bridal gown, hails a cab. Then Sturges picks up the pace! Colbert, on the run from husband Joel McCrea, is pursued by discreetly amorous zillionaire Rudy Vallée — whose man-crazy sister Mary Astor chases McCrea! Sturges' most complicated variation on "Topic A."
