As, without benefit of rails, a locomotive saunters down a village street, the local drunk contemplates abstinence. Ealing's first comedy in color, and perhaps its coziest, as local clergy and gentry team up to save their decrepit branch line from British Rail cuts, thanks to an engine exhumed from museum retirement.
