FROM BOWERY TO HOLLYWOOD: VAUDEVILLE’S LEGACY
Presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences
The evolution of vaudeville comedy — tracing its origins back to circus, honky-tonks and burlesque — and its influence on early talkie comedy is told through this compilation of trailers, newsreels, feature excerpts, and public service announcements culled from the Packard Humanities Collection at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. Curated by Alejandra Espasande and Kelly Kreft of the Academy Film Archive. Presented by Ms. Espasande.
