Senior Manager, Technology & Data

Film Forum, an acclaimed nonprofit cinema located in lower Manhattan, seeks an organized and adaptable Senior Manager, Technology to lead the organization’s information technology efforts. This position will work across the organization. The successful candidate will be a strong project manager, and will enjoy working with people. This position reports to the Managing Director but works closely with all staff.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cloud-based CRM database, Tessitura
  • Collaborate with other departments to strategize the use of data, from collection to reporting to analysis
  • Establish and implement good data hygiene protocols
  • Project manage technology improvements & upgrades for the organization, including:
    • Update of Tessitura to its most current release
    • Point of sale system for the concession stand
    • New phone system
  • With Director of Operations, work on implementing better, more integrated shared planning tools for the organization
  • Troubleshoot technology issues as they arise
  • Oversee relationship with outside IT consultant, and Tessitura
  • Identify areas for technology improvements

Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience with increasing levels of responsibility in information technology and database administration, or other technology role.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines
  • Experience as an administrator in Microsoft Office Suite and CRMs required; experience with Tessitura, MailChimp or WordFly preferred; experience with SQL a plus.
  • Aptitude and interest in learning new technology and database systems
  • Solid product research skills & an awareness of the latest technologies and information systems
  • Highly organized with excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative with colleagues in troubleshooting technology issues
  • Background in the arts a plus

Salary: $65,000-$75,000/yr depending on experience. Complete benefits package including fully paid medical insurance. This is a full-time, exempt position represented by the UAW Local 2110 Union
