Girls Write Now breaks down barriers of gender, race, age and poverty to mentor the next generation of writers and leaders. Together, the Girls Write Now community channels the power of voices and stories to shape culture, impact industries and inspire change. Lauren Cerand is a writer and public relations consultant who advises a wide range of authors, artists, creative professions and cultural organizations. She serves on the advisory board of Film Forum and is a past board chair of Girls Write Now. Poets & Writers has called her “a highly sought-after independent publicity guru who exudes an easy bookish glamour.” Her writing was most recently published in Northwest Review and inspired the Oregonian to call the magazine “ increasingly confident, intimate, essential. ”
