An Afternoon with Bill Forsyth
Moderated by Bruce Goldstein
Saturday, October 5
3:45
Scottish director Bill Forsyth, creator of modern comedy classics including Local Hero, Comfort and Joy, Housekeeping, and Gregory’s Girl (showing at Film Forum in a new restoration, October 4-10) will appear in person for a 90-minute conversation with Bruce Goldstein, Film Forum’s Director of Repertory Programming. The interview will be spiced with excerpts from many of Mr. Forsyth’s films. This is a rare visit to the U.S. for Mr. Forsyth, who began his film career in Glasgow in the mid-1960s.
Please note that the Bill Forsyth event will coincide with Saturday’s 2:50 and 4:40 shows of Gregory’s Girl. Tickets available for 1:00, 6:30 and 8:20 shows of Gregory’s Girl.
