Before and after the screening, Film Forum Repertory Director Bruce Goldstein will give an illustrated talk about the movie's production (it was only the third film produced by Darryl F. Zanuck’s new 20th Century Pictures) and filmmaker Rowland Brown (one of Hollywood’s first writer-directors, who’d complete only three movies), showing how it was censored in the U.S. and Canada.
