In the 50s, former Third Reich star Veronika Voss (played by Rosel Zech, and based on the real-life Sybille Schmitz) lives on, to be befriended by sportswriter Hilmar Thate, but unable to escape her drug addicted entrapment by her lesbian physician. One of Fassbinder’s most stylish works, with Armin Mueller-Stahl (Lola, Shine, Avalon) and the director in and eerie cameo as a moviegoer. 35mm. Approx. 102 min.
