In a decrepit mansion on the banks of the Hudson, a family gathers to hear the reading of their wealthy patriarch’s will when (of course) they discover a deranged lunatic is hiding somewhere in the house, slowly killing off its inhabitants. The film credited with kickstarting the horror genre at Universal Studios.
