Longtime Film Forum accompanist provides a live piano score for a special screening of Victor Sjöström’s THE SCARLET LETTER on Sunday, March 4 at 3:45. 

(1926) In this stunning adaptation of Hawthorne’s tale of adultery in 17th century Boston, Lillian Gish’s Hester Prynne is “one of the most beautifully sustained performances in screen history” (Pauline Kael).
